What is the price investment for beauty services?

We are your trusted beauty team for one of the most special days of your life. We don't just DO hair and makeup. We make sure you have a seamless and stress-free experience while looking like the Queen or King that you are!  Most of our couples invest on average $1600-$3000 on hair and makeup for the wedding party

How far in advance should I book hair and makeup for my wedding?

You'll want to book 6-12 months in advance so that you can secure your team and have a stress-free getting ready experience.

 

How do I book my wedding hair and makeup?

First, complete your bridal profile. Once you complete your bridal profile the next step is to book a Discovery Session. We set up this touchpoint so that we have a full understanding of your needs before drafting an agreement. This consultation is also to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. Energy is everything! After the phone consultation, we'll email you an invoice (50% retainer) and agreement for signature.

Do bridal packages include a trial/preview and when should I book my preview?

Bridal packages include a 2-hour hair or makeup and up to 3 hour Hair & Makeup trial/preview where we create your dream bridal look from start to finish. This appointment should be booked 2-3 months before the wedding date.

I have a busy schedule, can I book my preview for a Saturday or Sunday?

We typically offer preview sessions on weekdays Tuesday-Friday in-studio. This is because weekends are normally dedicated to weddings and other special occasions. If you live out of town or have a unique schedule or situation that prevents scheduling on a weekday, just let us know

What if I want to try you out before booking?​

We definitely understand the try before you buy. Nobody wants to be stuck in a contract they don't want. For that reason, you are able to book a standard appointment here.

How should I prepare for my preview or any makeup appointment?​

We ask that each client come with a clean, makeup-free face with eyebrows groomed. It is common to believe that the makeup artist will fix your brows and I certainly will, but you will get the most flawless look with freshly waxed, tweezed, or threaded brows and facial hair removed. We ask that for hair appointments you come with clean hair.

Do I need a makeup trial for my bridesmaids, mother, etc.?

No. If you want to add that on it's totally available to you but not required for booking

Will you be able to match my skin tone? 

Great question! We are professional and experienced artists who've trained with some of the best educators in the field. We can assure you that we can match every unique skin tone and work with every skin type there is. Color theory is our bestie!

My Wedding party is very diverse. Will you be able to style everyone's hair?

We are professional and diverse hairstylists who are educated and experienced in styling all hair textures including naturally curly, wavy, straight, color-treated, short, long, braided, etc.

What if I need to reschedule my wedding?

In your bridal service agreement, there is language that protects both you and us in the event that you have to move your wedding date. Retainer fees are non-refundable no matter the reason. However, you may apply your paid retainer to your reschedule date. In the event of a total cancellation, the fees will not be returned. On case by case scenarios, we will work with you to book another service on a future date (makeup lessons, photography, etc.)

What if I don't know what I want?

That's totally normal! Sometimes  it's easier to determine what you "don't" want than what you do want. We can work from there. It's also helpful to do hashtag searches on Instagram or bridal makeup searches on Pinterest for inspiration.

What makeup do you use?

Our artists kits have a plethora of professional grade and prestige products like Temptu, Danessa Myricks, Lancome, Tarte, Mac, Clinique, Artistry, etc. It also includes some tried and true affordable brands like Juvia's Place, Morphe, Black Opal, and Covergirl. We use products that fit your unique skin needs. The most important part of makeup is skin prep! We use serums, moisturizers, primers for your specific skintype and tone.

Do makeup applications come with lashes?

Yes, makeup comes with customized lashes and application. It will be a strip lash or small clusters depending on your eye shape. The price is the same regardless of lash selection

Do you have a team?

Yes. Depending on wedding day logistics and services requested, larger wedding parties (5+) people, we will have a team of professional artists on site.

How many artists/stylists do you provide on the wedding day?

Great question! We get this one a lot. That is going to depend on a few factors.

1. What time everyone needs to be ready

2. If you're taking first look pictures

3. If you're getting ready at the venue what time do they allow you to access the suite

4. If you're getting ready off-site, how long the commute to the venue is

5. The total number of people getting hair and/or makeup

Will the same artist/stylist that I meet at my preview be the same one I work with on the wedding day?

Absolutely yes!

How long does the makeup application take?

Bridesmaid and attendant applications are 45 minutes-1 hour. Bride applications are 1 hours-1.5 hours. For the wedding day we curate a getting ready timeline so that each person has an appointment time. That way there's one less thing for you to worry about!

How long does hair styling take?

Bridesmaid and attendant hairstyling is about 45 minutes depending on the style, hair-length, etc. Bride styling is typically 1 hour.

Do you travel to me on the wedding day? 

Absolutely! We travel wherever you will be for your convenience. There may be additional travel fees if your location is outside of Richmond, VA area.
